Secondary Checkpoint to be Open to Passengers during Peak Travel Periods

Beginning Tuesday, January 16, 2018, a secondary "Checkpoint A" will be operational during peak travel periods at the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC).  "Checkpoint A" will be located adjacent to the American Airlines ticketing counter and will consist of two passenger security checkpoint lanes.

The main passenger security checkpoint is undergoing construction as part of the terminal revitalization project and will be relocated two of the six passenger screening lanes to the secondary "Checkpoint A' through October, 2018 when the entire terminal revitalization project is slated for completion.

Appropriate way-finding signage will be placed throughout the terminal to guide passengers to the secondary "Checkpoint A" during peak travel periods.

Peak Travel Periods at ROC Airport are generally as follows:

4:30 am - 6:30 am

9:30 am - 11:30 am

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm*

*Hours are approximate and may vary slightly during the holidays, school breaks and seasonal schedule variations.

As always, passengers are reminded to arrive at the Airport at least 90 minutes prior to their departure times and to follow way finding signage during this period.

It is anticipated this passenger security checkpoint program will be in effect through the end of October 2018..
